Bahrain is located in the southwest Persian Gulf, and once the route along the ancient Maritime Silk Road. With the long history, beautiful sceneries, developed economy, diverse cultures and inclusive society, Bahrain enjoys the reputation of “Pearl of the Gulf ”.

Since China and Bahrain established diplomatic ties in 1989, the bilateral relations have grown in a steady and sound way with ever deeper political mutual trust and outcomes in practical cooperation across the board. During the the first China-Arab States Summit and the China-GCC Summit in 2022, the Chinese President Xi Jinping held a meeting with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which laid a solid foundation for further developments of China-Bahrain friendly cooperative relations. As our Belt and Road Initiative and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 continue to be closely aligned, the bilateral cooperation will embrace more opportunities and achieve more fruitful results.

Our Embassy will continue to share policy updates, news on China's development and China-Bahrain relations through our website and WeChat official account, in order to serve the Chinese people in Bahrain, introduce Bahrain and China to all friends who care about, support and promote China-Bahrain, China-GCC and China-Arab cooperations, and build the bridge of the two peoples.
