Apply for Consular Legalization

The Chinese Embassy authenticates documents which are executed in the Bahrain and will be used in China. Type of documents include: birth/death certificates, power of attorney, marriage certificates, diplomas, business license, etc.

 

How to apply/Document must be:

1. Signed before a Notary Public.

2. Legalized by the Consular Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

For applicants who live in Bahrain, documents after being certified by the authority shall be legaized by the Consular Directorate of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and then by the Embassy.

· You may come to the Embassy for application, or entrust a representative (no power of attorney is needed) to apply for you. No appointment is required.

 

Requirements:

1. Application Form of Consular Legalization of the Chinese Embassy

   2. The documents to be authenticated, and a photocopy of the documents.

3. Photocopy of the applicant's Passport, Residence Permit and Bahrain CPR (If a representative comes, photocopy of the representative's Passport, Residence Permit and Bahrain CPR are also necessary).

4. In case of commercial authentication, the photocopies of the company's CR (Commercial Registration) and Legal Owner's CPR are required;

5. Other documents may be required by the Embassy.

 

Fees and processing time

Fees

BD8 for Civil documents, e.g. Adoption, marriage, birth/death certificate kinship, etc.

BD15 for Property or Commercial documents, e.g. Business license, labor agreement, inheritance, property transfer, etc.

 

The regular processing time is 4 working days.

For express service is 2-3 days, additional fees of BD8,
