Chinese Art Festival to Be Held in Bahrain |

In order to promote the friendship and cultural cooperation between China and and the Arab Countries, especially Bahrain, the Chinese Art Festival will be held in Bahrain from 25-31 Mar,2012 by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, the Secreatariat of the Arab League, the Bahraini Ministry of Culture, and the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, as part of "Spring of Culture Festival 2012" . The Festival has the following events, which are all open to the public free of charge: 1.The Opening Ceremony of "Chinese Art Festival" &The Chinese Embroidery Masterpieces Exhibition which takes place at the Art Centre on 25th March, 2012 at 7:00pm 2. Chinese Embroidery Masterpieces Exhibition which takes place at the Art Centre from 26-31 Mar,2012, at 08:00-13:00&16:00-20:00 Embroidery is a time-honored traditional art of the Chinese nation. As one of the four major embroidery styles of 3. "Little White Egret "Folk Dance Chinese featured folk dance as part of "Spring of Culture Festival which takes place at the Culture Hall on 25th March, 2012 at 8:00pm The troupe is considered as the first professional folk dance troupe in China. Featuring the exotic dance art of Chinese ethnical minority groups and characterized by the unique Minnan (South Fujian) culture, the troupe has won great fame and honors at national and international level competitions and performances. 4.Xinjiang Folk Song, Dance and Music Ensemble A unique and outstanding Muslim performance from which takes place at the Culture Hall on 26th March, 2012 at 8:00pm
Xinjiang Art Troupe is a unique and outstanding Muslim arts groups in China. It has already explored, innovated, and performed a large number of Xinjiang dance and music programs with both Muslim characteristics and the spirit of the modern times. 5. Shaolin Temple Kung Fu Show The most famous Chinese Kung Fu performance as part of "Spring of Culture Festival which takes place at the Culture Hall on 28th and 29th March, 2012 at 8:00pm The Shaolin Temple Culture and Theatre Group was established in 1998. The group performed many shows all around the world and succeeded in spreading Shaolin Kungfu culture. Its members are masters of the traditional Chinese medicine, making them the most prominent figures representing the classical Shaolin Temple disciples to be called the "Temple's Most Precious Treasure".
