Ambassador Qi Zhenhong met with Bahrain Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Manama, Bahrain, July 6, 2015---- H.E. Ambassador Qi Zhenhong met with H.E. Mr. Abdulla Abdulatif Abdulla, Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Abdulla congratulated for Ambassador Qi to have presented his credentials to His Majesty King Hamad, and he pleadged to provide all kinds of support to ensure Mr. Qi successfully assume his mission.

Mr. Abdulla reviewed the development process of bilateral ties, stressing that the Bahraini leaders keen to promote the relationship comprehensively. King Hamad's successful visit to China in 2013 infused powerful driving force for deepening the traditional friendship and cooperation in various fields. "We are willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China, to further expand tourism and cultural exchanges, to improve and push the Dragon City Project, to strengthen communication, coordination and cooperation with China in the Gulf Cooperation Council, the UN and other multilateral International Institutions. Besides, we highly appreciate China as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, always has objective and impartial stance in the international arena,  always respects, supports and safeguards the legitimate rights and interests of  the developing countries, always adheres to the principle of non-interference in other country's internal affairs, and always supports the just cause of the Arab countries. " He said.

Ambassador Qi represented a great honor to assume his office in Bahrain. He emphasized that China always adheres to the principles that all countries, either big or small, strong or weak, rich or poor, should be equal in the world, every nation has the right to choose her own development path and social system independently, and opposes to interfere in other countries' internal affairs with any form and any excuse. "China will continue upholding these principles, will seize the new opportunity of joint building the "One Belt & One Road" initiative, to further enhance the cooperation between both countries in various fields." He added.
