To further facilitate visa applicants, from now until December 31, 2026, all applicants for short-term visas (staying for less than 180 days) who apply to the Chinese visa-issuing authorities abroad will be exempted from fingerprints collection.

For visa applicants with D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas who need to apply for residence permits after entering China, fingerprints will still be collected as required.
